Vezere Valley Venture! – Page 1

In September 2009 I visited the Vezere Valley in France to finalize the research for my graphic novel. My graphic novel takes place during the last Ice Age when people still created cave art. Not only was I privileged to visit a sampling of these amazing caves and prehistoric sites, I also spent the week with an extremely knowledgeable archaeologist (Steve Burman) who answered my endless questions with enthusiasm! This is the journal comic I kept while I was there. I hope you will enjoy reading it! I will be uploading pages of this comic Mon-Wed-Fri until all the pages are up.

[...] artist Megan Baehr. She took a Tour with us to research for a graphic novel she’s planning to write and whilst here kept a diary. She’d be curled up on a settee happily drawing at every opportunity – I loved having a peep over her shoulder, she’s very talented. When she returned home, day by day her Travel Journal unfolded starting from when she left home. We avidly watched each day to see the story developing.
